Woven by the spinner, with a focus on the yarn, the fibre, and the hand in the hand-made.

As a weaver, I consider myself a spinner - the creation of yarn from fibre is my first passion in the fibre crafts, and at the heart of my textiles arts. However, from early in my spinning journey, I knew that the yarn I was creating wanted to be woven, and who am I to argue?

But yarn is, in itself, a finished product. And for many years I was content to work on my skills as a spinner. The time wasn’t right to start weaving, and I didn't feel any need to rush. As a result, when I did begin to weave I had a wealth of inspiration to call upon, in the form of years worth of handspun yarn!
Thus began Chapter One of my weaving journey...
